Frequently Asked Questions

Starting care somewhere new can feel uncertain, so we put together this list of what to expect and answers to frequently asked questions. We want you to walk through our door at Taylor Family Chiropractic feeling informed and at ease. Read on to learn how we work, and reach out anytime if your question is not covered here.

What Happens During My First Visit?

Your first visit starts with a conversation, not a rushed adjustment. We sit down with you to talk through your health history and the symptoms that brought you in.

From there, we perform a hands-on exam that may include orthopedic and neurological tests. We may also take in house digital x-rays when warranted to see exactly what is happening in your spine.

We believe seeing is knowing, so we never cut corners on that first look. Guessing has no place when it comes to your health and comfort. Once we understand what is causing your pain, we can build a treatment plan suited to you.

Some notice improvement quickly, while full results continue to develop over several weeks as tissue heals.

Every person heals at a different pace, so there is no one-size-fits-all answer regarding treatment frequency. Some patients feel some relief within a visit or two, while others need steady care over several weeks for lasting improvement.

Your specific plan depends on the type and severity of your condition. At Taylor Family Chiropractic, we build care plans around patient goals and adjust as their bodies respond over time.

Healing also involves repetition, much like building strength at the gym. One session rarely undoes years of wear, so consistency is key. We include regular re-exams along the way to ensure you keep improving.

Chiropractic care is a safe, natural approach to spinal health for most people. We rely on gentle, proven methods without drugs or surgery. We welcome patients of nearly every age, from infants to seniors.

Before any hands-on work, every patient begins with a thorough consultation and exam. We only move forward with treatment when we believe it is appropriate for your condition.

Your care also stays in experienced hands. Dr. Christy brings a lifelong connection to this work as a second-generation chiropractor, while Dr. Cliff draws on the discipline he learned during his years with the Coast Guard. Together, they tailor each technique to fit your body and comfort level.

We designed our office around your time, with convenient appointments that flex to fit busy schedules. We want every patient to feel heard and supported from the first visit onward.

New patients can get started with our $47 special, which includes a consultation, a complete exam, any necessary X-rays, a report of findings, and a first adjustment. It is an easy, low-pressure way to see whether our care fits your needs.

Knowing what to expect, along with the FAQs above, hopefully makes that first visit feel a little easier. We are always happy to answer any other questions that come to mind before you get started.
